This blog is a collection of stories written for my son. I grew up in a house where kids were told stories at all times of the day, and where eating a meal without listening to a story seemed unthinkable! I have tried to pass on the same enthusiasm for stories to my son, and this blog is an attempt to aid other parents and grandparents in repeating the much loved tales to their children and grandchildren.

Most of the stories you will read here are based on well known mythological stories, or folk tales. There are just a few (as of now) which are my own creation.

Some of my stories from this blog have been collated and made into a book. You can find more details about those books on the right sidebar.

My stories in print!!!!

At last, my stories have appeared in print! I was approached by JK Yog to write a set of stories based on Indian Mythology with some values in mind, to be part of their children's series called 'Bal Mukund'. I have written around 30 stories for them, which have appeared in two volumes. Volume 3 of the series has some of them, while Volume 4 contains all the others. I am putting up my stories on this blog, with their permission. However, the books also have stories by other authors, as well as illustrations which add a wonderful look to the whole book.
